Our carpenter arrives at 7 in the morning, but thankfully let us sleep in a little today as he went to a car boot sale to hunt for antique tools for his collection and this little auctioning business...
you can see the mortises, some square holes for the big metal bolts concealed on top of the A frames, tying the timbers to the ridge beam (see next picture)
