Spraying the radiators...

Priming in progress, we thinned the paint down a little so it can be sprayed, and off we go.
This spraying machine makes an easy job of painting these radiators, it takes approx 1hour per radiator, where doing the same with a brush takes around 5 or 6 hours. Plus the finish is impeccable, so definitely worth the investment...

Nice pipe work

Criss-crossed central heating loops in the ceiling (or floor depending if you look at it from below or above, respectively)
We had a lovely time with the pipe bender and Emmanuel's nice blowtorch, but he went back to France on Wednesday 14th, and he is greatly missed :(

While the boiler is being installed upstairs...

... Emmanuel is chasing some channels in the wall, to receive 2 pipes for the kitchen radiator, and a third channel for the outside cold water tap to quench our garden's apparently constant thurst...

Plumber in action...

Meet Vic our plumber, and please allow me to introduce our new boiler, Alpha CD50, with a nice 50litres tank of near-boiling water on-board, allowing the boiler to deliver 18l/min of hot water with a 45degC delta, for 30min I think... Pretty nice stuff, and now the old bathroom is linked to this mother-of-a-boiler, we can fill up the bath in no time with very hot water and Emily is on the moon !

Gone is the immersion heater, the tank on the roof, etc.

Laying the pipes down in the new trench...

We had quite some fun bending theses pipes to the required angle...
The rigthmost one is Gas (I know, we're not CORGI or Gas Safe but who cares, a proper joint does not need certification)
The two other ones are central heating, flow and return, from left to right, or the other way round ! (oops I'm in trouble if I don't know that !)
Rest assured that the pipes are labeled :-)
